Anastasia Pantera presented research from the AGFORWARD project at the 14th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST2015) at Rhodes in Greece. The conference provides a forum for engineers, scientists, managers and other professionals to discuss emerging issues.

Anastasia presented two papers. One paper focused on “the contribution of valonia oak silvopastoral systems in Western Greece to local development and the environment”. She also presented a paper, using an initial analysis of the stakeholder reports with AGFORWARD, on agroforestry for high value tree systems such as orchards and olive groves. The paper entitled “Farmers’ perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of high value tree agroforestry systems” looked at the perceived positive and negative aspects of high value tree agroforestry systems under the headings of: i) production, ii) management, iii) the environment, and iv) socio-economic issues.
